Smartwatches can track activity, display notifications and provide convenient access to everyday tools. But many people buy one because it looks impressive, then discover that they use only a small part of what it offers. I sell smartwatches in my mobile-phone shop, and customers regularly ask whether they need a premium model—or a smartwatch at all.
